About the Name: Côté is french for corner and Minou is a combination of  the designers' nicknames. Coucou (Maryanne's) and Nini (Stephanie's) with M  being the first letter in both our last names.

Born in the June 2006, Côté Minou was derived by a determined desire to put the continent of Africa on the map through fashion. In an attempt to change the way people see the use of the African cloth, Côté Minou designs clothing with an African/modern flair that people can wear without thinking too much about it. Inspired by rhythm, color, geometry, people, patterns, layers, volume, crafts and eras, with clothes made for both men and women can be worn to daytime events, cocktails, parties, and ballroom events.

Côté Minou  recently launched itself on June 21 2008. The aim was to represent the continent Africa to the max with personal expressions on the continent. The show themed PAPARAZZI was intended to have a collection of glamorous, funky fresh and classy designs that many would believe can only be pulled off by celebrities. The launch party featured over 60 clothes for Women and for the first time ever 40 pieces for Men. It also featured a number of musical performances among which were Naija's own Apexx, Zara, Maryland's sensation Dream Team and Ivory Coast's own Stéphane Afeni. The show also included a storming dance performance by Les Belles D'Afrique (African Dance Explosion 08' winners).
